What services are included in your fee?

For sellers, my remuneration includes minor repairs, painting, staging, photos, floorplans, videos, walk-through renderings, social media advertising, print advertising, targeted agent emails, newsletter exposure and open houses.  Not all properties require all of these services, but all of these services will be discussed.

How much commission does a real estate agent charge?

Remuneration varies from area to area, agent to agent, services provided and the value of experience each agent offers.  Flat rate,  discount rate, full service rate or luxury rates are all options available when working with a REALTOR®.

Do buyers pay realty fees?

Sometimes. There is no standard real estate fee in Ontario. When you work with a real estate agent, the fees will be explained and agreed upon before you sign a representation agreement. In some cases, the seller may cover some or all of the fees for your agent. If they don't, you may be responsible for paying some or all of the cost.

How many REALTORS® are in the GTA?

Not all agents offer services in every city and neighbourhood within the GTA.  That being said, TRREB lists that there are approximately 70,000 GTA real estate agents as members in 2026.  

How would a GTA REALTOR® know all the neighbourhoods?

A real estate agent who serves all of the GTA should have a wealth of experience working throughout all of the cities and neighbourhoods with many past clients.

Can a real estate agent help navigate a difficult market?

Yes, a skilled REALTOR® will help you navigate a difficult market.

Can a real estate agent help navigate mortgage rates?

Yes.  An experienced real estate agent can introduce you to an established mortgage broker to help you with your financing needs.

Does a REALTOR® in the GTA have access to off-market listings or pre-construction deals?

Yes, in many cases, an experienced agent with an established network has relationships with colleagues, peers, builders and industry professionals who can help you find off-market listings or pre-construction deals.
